Welcome to the New Brighton Olympic Athletic Club

Fun, Friendship, Fitness!

If you are new to running or just looking for someone to run with, you are invited to come and run with us. We try to cater for all levels of runners, whether you just want to get fit for your sport, have a goal to run the City to Surf, a half marathon or marathon, or are interested in running competively over cross-country, road races or the track.

If you are looking for company, advice or coaching, come along to a club run on Saturday during winter, or join one of the evening training groups during the week.

Every Monday and Wednesday throughout the year our training group meets in South Hagley at 5.30pm. You are invited to come along and join us for your evening run. These runs are usually for up to 60 - 80 minutes, but you decide how far you want to go. We have had to change our meeting point due to the earthquake affecting hospital parking and general traffic mayhem. We now meet on the west side of South Hagley Park down by the old Sale yards, between the old Blenheim Rd roundabout and the new lights that send everyone through to Tower Junction. Please come along.

If you need further advice, or more serious coaching, please let us know, as we have several specialized coaches available to help.

For further information, please telephone Alex Cook on (03) 322 1519 or Margaret Flanagan on (03) 355-4920 or send an email to Alex Cook at cookie@olympicharriers.co.nz.
