Hagley Relays

The 2015 Hagley Relays were held on Saturday in glorious sunshine. We had 9 teams entered and started the season with some excellent results. The Senior mens Team once again triumphed, sending a signal that they will be hard to beat again this season. Our two Masters Womens teams were 2nd and 4th respectively and our top Masters Mens Team were second in their grade.

NB15k Races

The first NB15k from our new site at Tai Tapu School was a huge success. The course was a hit with runners and the results showed what a depth of talent we have in the Club. In the Mens 15k, 7 of the first 10 were from NBO. The first 4 runners were the usual suspects-Callan, Dan, Oska and Mark. Kerry Faass came in at 9th overall to take the 40+ title. The numbers were up this year and there were some good runs from our masters women as they prepare for the ChCh Marathon events.

Rozie Robinson took out the walk in a very smart time and the first Male walker was our very own Red Maddock, who at 84 demonstrates the use it or lose it principle to perfection. The new 10k fun run attracted a decent entry. The winning woman was Dianne Davis, showing that Nanas might need naps but they are also capable of showing a clean pair of heels to a predominantly younger field.
